Anne Keothavong loses at Stanford event

British number one Anne Keothavong loses at the Bank of West Classic. She was beaten 2-6 7-5 6-4 by unranked Mallory Burdette. Keothavong last won a professional singles match in 2008. Burdette will next face second seed Marion Bartoli, while Keothavong is to represent Team GB at London 2012. Serena Williams will also be back and will play Burdette's doubles partner Nicole Gibbs. Gibbs beat Noppawan Lertcheewakarn of Thailand 6-4 6-4 to set up the match against Williams.

Ollie Olds joins York City knights

Ollie Olds, the half back of Leeds Rhinos, now joins York City Knights. York City Knights signed him on a dual registration deal. He will spend at least a month with the Championship side and is set to make his debut against Keighley on Saturday. He is 18 years old only. He made his debut against France last month

Serena Williams Fifth Singles Title

Serena Williams won the Wimbledon 2012. She beat Agnieszka Radwanska 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 on the final. This is Williams's 14th Grand Slam title. Although, it is her 1st since passing almost a year out of playing between summer 2010 and  2011 because of a leg injury and subsequent pulmonary embolism. She then won the doubles title with sister Venus, defeating Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie hradecka

UEFA's Warning at Arsenal's Jack Wilshere

UEFA warned Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere for his post in Twitter about breaking the betting rules during a Champions League match. UEFA warned Wilshere in May. Wilshere was injured for the entire season, he wrote last December that teammate Emanuel Frimpong was worth betting on to score the first goal against Greek side Olympiakos. Although, Wilshere said that he knew that UEFA prohibit players gambling on their own team, and he had not actually placed a bet.  

Al Wasl Fired Maradona

Al Wasl fired Maradona on Tuesday. He was the coach of Al Wasl. He was failed to do his job properly. The team finished in 8th place in a 12 team league, even failed to win a second tier competition. Maradona had one year left on his contract. The club's board of directors met Tuesday and decided to fired Maradona. Maradona was on vacation outside Dubai, so any announcement was not recorded from him. Everyone expected that Maradona can change the position of the club, but he failed. So, at last Al Wasl decided to fire him and did. 

Federer's Winning in Wimbledon 2012

Roger Federer won the Wimbledon 2012. By winning this Wimbledon Cup, he joined William Renshaw and Pete Sampras as the only seven time winner at all England Club. Federer also extended his own record by by winning a 17th major singles title. It was a nice match. Andy Murray did his best, but his bad luck, his rival is one of the best player of the all the time, The Frederar. But, this time Murray  fought from start to the last second of the game, he did bot give up as the past. Federer defeated Murray 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 on the championship. The game lasted 3 hours and 24 minutes.
